Questions
Is it safe?
Changes live inside your own Chrome, on your computer. To build one, Tweaksy's server sees the layout of the page (headings, buttons, table columns) and your request. It never sees your passwords and it does not keep page content. Every change can be switched off or removed in one click.
Why does Chrome ask me to turn on a switch?
Chrome asks for a one-time permission before any extension can make changes you've created yourself. Tweaksy shows you exactly where the switch is and checks it for you. Until it's on, look-and-feel changes (hide, resize, recolour) still work.
Will it break the website?
It only changes what your browser shows you, not the website itself and not what anyone else sees. If something looks wrong, switch the change off and the page is back to normal instantly.
What if the site changes and my change stops working?
Click Change and type "it stopped working". Tweaksy looks at the new page and rebuilds it. You can also go back to the previous version with Undo.
Does it work in Edge, Brave or Arc?
Yes, on Chrome 120 or newer and on any browser built on Chrome. Firefox and Safari are not supported yet.
Can I use it on work tools that need a login?
Yes. Changes apply after you've logged in, on the pages you can already see. Tweaksy never logs in for you and never handles your password.
Where do I type what I want?
In your Tweaksy account, on this website. You give the website address and describe the change. The Tweaksy extension on your Chrome picks it up and builds it the next time that site is open (or straight away if you're on the computer with the extension). There's also a quick box in the extension itself for changes to whatever page you're looking at.
What does "computers" mean on the plans?
Each Chrome that logs into your account uses one seat. Starter is two, Team is ten, Business is fifty. Log out on a computer to free its seat, or remove it from your account page.
What counts as a change?
One request, or one edit to an existing change. "Hide the sidebar" is one. "Make it green instead" on that same change is another. Changes you've already made keep running without using any up. There is also a limit of 40 a day, so one busy afternoon can't use up the whole month.
What is Enhanced?
A switch next to the request box. Normal is quick and right for most changes. Enhanced thinks harder, for complicated pages or when Normal didn't quite get it. An Enhanced build counts as 3 changes instead of 1. Try Normal first.
